HARMONY GOLF PRESERVE WELCOMES NEW HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL

Brock Nicholas, general manager of Harmony Golf Preserve, a championship daily-fee facility located just south of Orlando, Florida in the 11,000-acre master-plan community of Harmony announced today that Todd VanMeer has joined the Harmony Golf Preserve Team as the Head Golf Professional.

Todd is a PGA Level 3 Apprentice and five year veteran of Troon Golf. Troon Golf,® is the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing. Todd’s prior experience with Troon Golf Properties include the Innisbrook Resort - Tampa, FL, the Legacy Golf Club - Bradenton, FL and the Sheraton Steamboat Springs - Steamboat Springs, CO.

Todd hails from Portland, Maine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Maine University. "Todd is going to provide a great foundation for our golf department. He is highly motivated, and brings great energy and a diverse skill set to an already solid team", stated Nicholas, "His private club experience will really blend well with the culture we're building for Harmony residents.”

At just over 7,400 yards with five sets of tees, the Harmony Golf Preserve course allows players of all skill levels to enjoy a challenging round. Carved from 280 acres of natural Osceola County wilderness, the front nine meanders through the community of Harmony and the back nine winds through acres of lakes, woods and conservation areas. The course wraps around existing wetlands, and is home to tremendously diverse plant and animal life, including deer, otters, sand hill cranes, foxes, ospreys and owls, as well as hundreds of varietals of plants, including rare orchids. The course features gently-sloped greens and has been awarded 4 ½ stars by readers of Golf Digest.
