Harmony was the proud recipient of the 2006 WCI Green Building Award for its commitment to preserving the environment while creating a healthy economy for Florida. In fact, Harmony was the first community in Osceola County (and only the third in Central Florida) to be recognized by the Council for Sustainable Florida.
Harmony received a 2006 Commissioners Business Recognition Award by the Florida Education Foundation and the Florida Department of Education. Harmony was the featured subject in three awards presented by the University of Florida in its 2005 IMAGE Awards recognition of programs that effectively communicated environmental information.
Harmony was also the proud recipient of the 18th Residential Environmental Award from the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR). The award - popularly known as the ENVY - recognizes the developer who makes the most significant contributions toward building within Florida's sensitive environment. The judges looked at Harmony's preservation of its native flora and fauna, blending of the community with its natural setting, development of trails, parks and playgrounds, family recreation and safety, and much more.
In 2005, Where to Retire Magazine recognized Harmony Development for having one of the 100 best master planned communities.
Harmony garnered 1ST Place at the 2004 Parade of Homes. The award, given to the best community with 5,000 or more homesites, was presented by The Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando, is further confirmation that our dream of creating a unique hometown has come to fruition.
Harmony also garnered a Merit Award from the 2003 Parade of Homes, an award received even before model homes or most of the community infrastructure was finished.
