GOLF WORLD’S 2010 “READERS’ CHOICE AWARDS”
October 2nd 2009 - Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce that 14 of its managed courses have been named to the list of Golf World’s 2010 “Readers’ Choice Awards.” Determined solely by an online poll conducted in 2008 and 2009, readers of Golf World magazine considered 13 different criteria to grade their favorite public, private, and resort courses in the United States.

Included in the public category was Harmony Golf Preserve in the Town of Harmony Florida (25 minutes south of Orlando International Airport), prominently ranked No. 45.

Harmony Development Company President, Shad Tome, commented on the importance of receiving such a coveted accolade for the community. “Recognition by the readers of Golf World is a great measure of a well rounded golf experience and Harmony is honored to be among these prominent courses,” Tome stated. “Troon Golf has done a spectacular job showcasing the Town of Harmony by ensuring each guest feels like a ‘member or resident for a day’ at our Golf Preserve. According to Golf World, this year’s online poll attracted twice as many voters compared to the prior year. More than 46,000 individual facility ratings and more than 600,000 criteria evaluations were collected. The list of criteria included course quality, course condition, reputation & prestige, practice facilities, speed of play, clubhouse & locker room, hotel accommodations, caddie program, golf shop, food & dining, off-course activities & amenities, service, and overall value.
