Why is it called a "golf preserve" and not simply a "golf course?"
The designation as a "preserve" rather than a "course" reflects a truly different approach to golf course design - one that seeks to preserve the treasure of Harmony's 11,000 + acres of broad meadows, towering stands of southern pines and two shimmering 500 acre natural lakes. To this end, the golf course is wrapped around wetlands, and no homes will be built that front on the golf course.

How many tees are there and what's the yardage, USGA course and slope ratings of each?
Five sets of tees for players of all abilities:
- Black tees are 7,428 yards, course rating: 76.1, slope rating: 138
- Blue tees are 6,955 yards, course rating: 73.8, slope rating: 130
- White tees are 6,394 yards, course rating: 71.3, slope rating: 126
- Gold tees are 5,955 yards, course rating: 68.9, slope rating: 123
- Red tees are 5,410 yards, course rating: 71.3, slope rating: 119
Yes, the course is open to the public, and tee times may be booked through the web or by telephone at (888) 817-3808.
Are there practice areas?
Yes, guests may take advantage of a complete practice facility, featuring a 45-station driving range, 1,800 square-foot putting green and short game area.
At how many holes do water hazards come into play, and how many sand bunkers?
Ten holes have water that come into play and there are 87 bunkers.
Do you have rental clubs?
Yes, Harmony Golf Preserve provides the latest technology in club rental for guests. Callaway Big Bertha Irons, X-Series woods and Foot-Joy shoes.
What are the playing conditions like?Tremendous. The Troon Golf agronomic standard is for deep and infrequent watering along with other programs designed to increase long-term health and fertility of the plant, use resources responsibly, and promote superb playing conditions. Meticulously crafted Tifdwarf Bermuda greens provide a smooth, firm and fast putting surface for professional level conditions.
Any forced carries?
There is one par 3 (#17) that is a forced carry over water but, for the most part, tee to fairway is very forgiving. Golfers of all abilities can challenge themselves - and have fun - throughout the round. Also, generous landing areas are arrayed strategically with bunkers, shimmering water hazards and large, undulating putting greens.
What sorts of amenities does Harmony Golf Preserve have?
Harmony Golf Preserve has a magnificent 18,000 square foot clubhouse that offers a professional shop, men's and ladies' locker rooms, Greenside's Restaurant, the 19th Hole and a full-service banquet and catering facility. A professional staff caters to guests, upholding Harmony's standards of quality.
Do you provide golf instruction?
Yes, our professional staff is able to custom build a lesson series that fits your needs. Custom club fitting is also offered. In addition, ESPN Golf Schools and National Golf Schools each have a presence at Harmony Golf Preserve to service multi-day instructional needs and packages.
