Winning team from each division (net and gross) goes to Las Vegas on an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the Troon Challenge Finals!
Format
The event format is a modified best ball (shamble). Each player hits a tee-shot, the team selects the best tee-shot and each player plays their own ball from that point until it is holed. The lower of the two scores, is the team score for the hole.
There will be a Gross and Net Division. Teams must declare which of the two divisions they would like to compete in upon registration. To compete in the Net Division, each team participant must provide a verifiable USGA handicap. 50% of the Handicap Index will be used to calculate the course handicap for players in the Net Division.
$250 per team entry fee includes:
18 holes with cart
Unlimited practice balls prior to play
Yardage guide, divot repair tool, metal bag tag
$10 prize fund per player
On-course contests (Longest Drive & Closest to the Pin)
Hole-in-One Prizes on each Par 3 provided by American Hole 'N One, including 4 day/3 night golf vacation packages
Troon rewards points for entry fee
Tournament Awards Reception with appetizers after completion of play
Additional Information
Teams can be comprised of two men, two women, or one man/one woman Men will play approximate yardage of 6600 yards Women will play approximate yardage of 5200 yards
A minimum of one team from each division will win an all expense-paid-trip* to Las Vegas to compete in the 2008 Troon Challenge Finals at The Revere Golf Club, August 23-24, 2008.
